2019 Willamette Country Music Festival Alcohol Policy
We’re looking forward to the 2019 Willamette Country Music Festival, the Northwest’s premier country music and family camping event! We’re working our boots off getting ready for the best Festival yet—it promises to be amazing with stars like Jason Aldean headlining the entertainment.
Entertainment and Family Fun are the keys to a great weekend. Everyone that comes to the Festival and camps with us has great expectations of the fun they’re going to have. Most of our guests and their families enjoy themselves and are respectful of their neighbors. This is a family event and we are committed to keeping it safe, friendly and fun for everyone. Alcohol, when consumed responsibly by adults, can be an enjoyable part of the entertainment over the weekend. When it is consumed in excess and with disregard for others, the negative impact can go far beyond a headache the next day.
The Willamette Country Music Festival is governed by a mass gathering permitting process. This policy ultimately controls our ability to have this great event in the future. We’re taking this opportunity to notify Festival-goers of our Alcohol Policy so that you can plan accordingly and avoid problems or misunderstandings during the Festival. In particular– with regard to situations involving excessive or underage drinking and large groups partying beyond mandated quiet times– we must implement stricter policies regarding alcohol and where it can be consumed. The following includes the points of the policy and a Quiet Time reminder.
No alcohol permitted in non-licensed areas.
- No alcohol is allowed outside of the beer gardens inside the venue concert gates.
- No alcohol is allowed in the camping areas and parties with alcohol in the camping areas are prohibited.
- No alcohol is allowed in the parking areas and parties with alcohol in these areas are prohibited.
Drinking by minors is prohibited.
- Minors may not drink alcoholic beverages.
Quiet Time will be enforced at midnight.
- As always, it is the responsibility of the Festival to provide a safe, family event as well as enforce the observation of quiet hours.
Safety Measures, Quiet Time and Alcohol Policy will be enforced by WCMF Security. Unfortunately, Festival-goers that choose to disregard the rules for alcohol consumption and reasonable behavior will lose their privilege to camp or be on the property.
Regrettably, many policies must manage and limit the behavior of everyone simply because of the irresponsible behavior of a few. While we recognize that most of our guests handle themselves with regard for their neighbors and stay within the rules, we still have individuals that ruin the experience for others by breaking the rules. Our goal is not to limit your fun, but to allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy themselves.
We look forward to seeing you at the 2019 Willamette Country Music Festival.
