The married, songwriting duo, Chad and Rachel Hamar, have coined their own brand of country music and are delivering it to the masses with relentless determination. In Spring 2012 they began work on their first full length album, 9 Miles Down a 10 Mile Road, penning or co-penning each of the 13 tracks on the album. The debut single, appropriately titled Like We Were Kids Again, is a nostalgic reminder about the carefree days of youth. Kristen Kelly describes her music as a little more grease than polish. That grease is distilled into a passionate, playful, often sexy, and always heartfelt reflection of real life as she knows it. Kristen mines her own truth with a lighthearted look at love gone awry on Ex-Old Man while demonstrating the strength and passion of her delivery on He Loves to Make Me Cry. I grew up in love with music, she recalls; singing in talent shows and later in high school choir. By middle school she had taken an interest in poetry; beginning the foundation for the songwriting that would emerge years later.
April 2010. Poolside at a Tennessee lakehouse. Three musicians and a songwriting friend were toying with a fiddle riff, just to see where it might lead. It became the hook for a song, and once they launched into the Home Sweet Home chorus, the three voices fell into place with an unexpected, other-worldly sound. Instant harmony. Almost-instant band.
The Farm is in many ways a hybrid act – a trio deeply rooted in Country Music, that folds in sonic elements from a variety of popular-music genres – but the core is built around a solid, identifiable vocal harmony.
Interlocking voices have been an important thread in countrys history. Nick Hoffman, Damien Horne and Krista Marie put their own distinct spin on the sound, a tightly woven mesh that relies on the synthesis of three musicians who found their way to Nashville from different parts of the U.S. with different sets of musical influences.
A student of the honky tonk school of hard knocks, Chris Young is a classic performer with total confidence in his craft. Its a crazy-good story. Eleven years ago, four musicians met at North Texas State University and built a career on touring without a single lineup change. Now theyre selling a crazy amount of downloads of their first platinum single, Crazy Girl. Its merely an introduction to Life At Best, a 14-track album long on ingratiating melodies, magnetic hooks and subtly provocative storylines. Even If It Breaks Your Heart kicks off the album with a breezy Petty feel, running through to the punchy Every Other Memory, and the optimistic crunch of Recover.
Their last album, Jet Black & Jealous, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Country Albums chart despite having never made the Top 10 through radio play. One title from that project, Always The Love Songs, provided that Top 10 breakthrough while nabbing a nomination from the Academy of Country Music for Top New Vocal Group of the Year.
And they did it in a way that only four guys who have held together as friends and business partners through several years of difficult touring can. They share a prism through which theyre able to see the world and their music.

His sophomore album, Charleston, SC 1966, includes the multiple-week hit singles Come Back Song, and This.
